Summer in Kent is looking hot – literally – and if you’re dreaming of the perfect way to soak up the season, look no further than Tonbridge Music Weekend. Held in the glorious grounds of Tonbridge Castle, this much-loved local festival combines great live music with unbeatable picnic vibes – and it’s back for another unforgettable year.

Bring Your Own Picnic, Booze and All

In a world where festivals often sneak in sky-high bar tabs and overpriced snacks, Tonbridge Music Weekend is gloriously different. Once you’ve got your ticket, you’re in – and you’re free to bring your own food and drink, including alcohol. Fancy arriving with a Fortnum & Mason hamper and the finest fizz? Go for it. Prefer a few cold cans and a bag of Kettle Chips? That works too.

It’s extremely rare to find a festival where you can spread out your blanket, uncork a bottle of prosecco, and listen to live music with a castle as your backdrop – but that’s exactly what makes this event so special.

A Line-Up for Everyone

This year’s line-up hits all the right notes:

Friday brings the sparkle of Disco Inferno, a full-throttle celebration of all things disco, supported by 5,6,7,8 – The Steps Experience. Expect sequins, singalongs, and serious dancefloor energy.

Saturday features The Michael® starring Ben – Magic of Michael Jackson, a smash-hit theatre production honouring the King of Pop, supported by local Kent indie rock band The Polygons.

And Sunday is all about family – a chilled, fun-filled day with entertainment for little ones and a friendly, relaxed vibe. Tickets for the Family Sunday are just £8.50, making it one of the best-value days out around. Unfortunately, due to poor ticket sales, the Sunday event has now been cancelled.

Sunshine, Songs & a Good Old Knees-Up

According to recent forecasts, England is more than twice as likely to have a hot summer this year. So, fingers crossed the weather plays ball and you’ll be clinking glasses in the sunshine, soaking up the sounds of top tribute acts and local legends alike.

Whether you come for the chilled afternoon sessions or the buzzing evening shows, this is a chance to enjoy a proper knees-up with family and friends – without worrying about breaking the bank.

Affordable, Accessible, and All-Out Fun

Early bird tickets for Friday or Saturday are just £34.90, and with no hidden costs once you’re inside, it’s one of the most affordable live music experiences you’ll find this summer. Seriously – where else can you enjoy a night of live music, drinks of your choice, and dinner from your own picnic blanket for less than the price of a round at the bar?

It’s also worth shouting about the fact that ticket prices have been frozen for five years. In a time when the cost of everything else seems to be climbing, this festival has stayed firmly committed to offering brilliant value for the whole community.
