Summer’s here, and it’s a great time to visit a pick-your-own (PYO) farm near Tonbridge. Whether you’re after strawberries, raspberries—or even a bucket of flowers—we’ve got a few local spots worth a visit. Practical details included.


Maynards Fruit Farm (Wadhurst, TN5 7HQ) – ~16 miles

Fruit: Strawberries, raspberries, cherries, tayberries, rhubarb
When: From early June onward; strawberries often available mid-June to early/mid-August. Open 10:00 to 17:00 Tuesday to Sunday.
Extras: Small farm shop, family-run since 1952
Tip: Bring your own container or pay ~50 p for one; parking limited on weekends

Lower Ladysden Farm (Goudhurst, Winchet Hill, TN17 1JX) – ~15miles

Fruit & Veg: Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, asparagus, runner beans, pumpkins in autumn
When: Strawberries & raspberries mid-June–late August; asparagus late April–mid-June; blackberries mid-July–late August, 08:30 to 17:00 (except Sunday 10:00 to 16:00).
Facilities: Farm shop with refreshments, easy parking
Note: PYO entry until 4 pm weekdays, 3 pm Sundays

Four Winds Farm – Bidborough, TN3 0LL (~3 miles from Tonbridge)

What you can pick: Sunflowers in summer and Pumpkins in Autumn
When: Tickets and dates not yet released for sunflower picking
Good to know: Very local, family-friendly and a great option if you’re short on time or don’t want to travel far. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for daily updates on availability.


Stonepitts Farm (Seal Chart, Sevenoaks, TN15 0ER) – ~8 miles

Fruit: Strawberries, raspberries, tayberries
When: Unfortunately strawberries and raspberries are sold out for this year, but check back for future crops. Details on the Stonepitts Farm website.


Mitchell Flower Farm (Sevenoaks area) – ~7miles

Flowers: Natural British flowers grown without chemicals.
When: Fridays & Saturdays, 10 am–3 pm, June 6–mid‑October; no booking needed
Packing: Flowers can be picked to fit into a Jam Jar (£10), small and larger buckets (£20-£50).

Cherry Gardens Organic Farm (Groombridge, TN3 9NY) – ~8 miles

  • Clothing: Comfortable shoes, sunhat, sunscreen.
  • Tools: Farms often provide snips, but bringing your own can help.
