Get ready for twinkling lights, mulled wine and festive cheer — the Tonbridge Christmas Light Switch-On will take place on Sunday 30th November 2025.
The much-loved Tonbridge Rotary Christmas Festival has long been the highlight of the town’s festive calendar, drawing lots of visitors each year. The High Street will once again close to traffic, transforming into a bustling Christmas market packed with food stalls, local crafts and bars. Expect the scent of doughnuts and glühwein in the air and fireworks to round off the evening.
The event is organised by CLEAR Synergy, a not-for-profit organisation working in partnership with the Tonbridge Rotary Club to keep this cherished community celebration alive. Lollipop Events will also be on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly — from stallholder bookings to event safety.

This year’s event looks set to be bigger and better than ever. Santa is set to arrive at 13:45 (where the High Street meets Avebury Avenue). Then there will be a Santa’s Grotto, with presents for the little ones between 14:00 and 15:00. Throughout the afternoon, locals will be treated to performances from a range of musical artists. And, if that’s not enough, there will even be real reindeer!
Stalls selling delicious food and drinks will be open from 13:45 to 18:00.
The big finale, the firework display will kick off at 17:40. Last years fireworks display was a triumph with Big Bridge filled up with locals.
We are already looking forward to another magical night that marks the start of Christmas in Tonbridge.
Festive, fun and full of community spirit — Tonbridge at its best. We can’t wait!
