The Oast Theatre in Tonbridge is set to host a production of Charlotte Jones’ multi-award winning play, Humble Boy, running from 7th March to 14th March 2026.
Described as a rich and intelligent comedy, the play balances the intensity of family emotions with a profound search for the meaning of life. Often noted for its clever echoes of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, the story offers a touching yet funny exploration of human relationships that has garnered significant critical acclaim.
Major publications have praised the work highly, with The Daily Telegraph calling it “rich, original, intelligent, funny and touching,” while The Sunday Times labelled it “a seriously wonderful play.”
