Tonbridge is getting ready to celebrate one of the highlights of the summer as Tonbridge Pride returns on Saturday 8 August, bringing a full day of live entertainment, community spirit and family-friendly fun to Tonbridge Castle.
Following the success of an awesome 2025 event, organisers are promising another wonderful celebration this year – and best of all, it’s completely free to attend.
Run entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers, Tonbridge Pride is a fantastic example of the local community coming together. Behind the scenes, volunteers will have spent countless hours planning every detail to create a welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable day for everyone.
Something for the Whole Family
Tonbridge Pride has built a reputation as a welcoming, family-friendly event, with activities and entertainment for all ages.
Visitors can enjoy:
- Free children’s activities including finger painting and activity sheets
- A sign language workshop
- Games and raffles
- Live entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening
- Local charities and community groups
- Independent business stalls
- Plenty of food and drink within the castle grounds
Make sure you also take a stroll along the River Walk on the castle side, where you’ll find a wide variety of local traders, charities and artisan stalls showcasing everything from crafts and greetings cards to glitter and Pride merchandise.
There will be lots to eat and drink too, including cocktails, street food and sweet treats, making it easy to spend the whole day enjoying the festivities.
Families should note that while the event is designed to be family friendly, after 7pm the on-stage entertainment becomes more adult-focused. Under-18s are welcome to remain, but organisers advise parents and guardians to use their own judgement.

With everything from theatre and dance to live bands, tribute performances and drag artists, there’s something to entertain every generation throughout the day.
Road Closure for the Pride March
Drivers should be aware that the Tonbridge Pride March takes place at 12 noon, with temporary road closures affecting Tonbridge High Street and several surrounding roads.
The High Street, from the Library roundabout to Tonbridge Castle, along with Avebury Avenue, New Wharf Road, Medway Wharf Road, Bradford Street, River Walk and Lyon’s Crescent, will be closed for approximately 30 minutes before reopening.
A Celebration of Community
More than just a festival, Tonbridge Pride is a celebration of inclusion, diversity and community. With fantastic entertainment, family activities, independent stalls, great food and drink and the beautiful setting of Tonbridge Castle, it’s set to be another memorable day for the town.
