Tonbridge Castle is set to become the backdrop for a day of live country music, dancing and family entertainment when Country on the Castle arrives in the town on Saturday 12 September.
The festival, which runs from 2pm until 10pm, will bring a taste of the Wild West to the heart of Kent, with live music, line dancing, food, games and entertainment taking place throughout the day.
Set against the marvellous backdrop of Tonbridge Castle, Country on the Castle promises a full afternoon and evening of country music, with six live acts performing modern country favourites and classic singalong hits. Acts include tribute performances celebrating some of the biggest names in country and pop-country music, including Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Dolly Parton, Shania Twain and Taylor Swift.
Live music and plenty to do
Music is at the heart of the festival, with performances continuing throughout the afternoon and evening. But visitors won’t simply be watching from the sidelines.
The festival organisers also promise opportunities to get involved with line dancing, whether you’re an experienced dancer or have never attempted a two-step before. A range of Wild West games and challenges will also take place during the day, offering visitors the chance to compete with friends and family.
For those looking for a bigger challenge, the rodeo bull will give would-be cowboys and cowgirls the opportunity to test their staying power in the saddle.
Younger visitors are catered for too, with a bungee attraction providing plenty of bouncing and aerial fun.
Food, drink and s’mores
Food and drink will be a major part of the festival, with American-style street food available throughout the day. Visitors can expect burgers, loaded fries, hot dogs and other festival favourites.
The festival bars will serve beers, ciders, bourbon, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks, while Challenge 25 will operate at all bars, so anyone who looks under 25 should be prepared to show valid photo ID.
Families can also gather around the fire pit to toast their own s’mores, adding a traditional campfire treat to the festival experience.
A family-friendly day out
Country on the Castle is billed as a family-friendly event, with all ages welcome.
Tickets are available in three age categories, with babies aged 0–2 able to attend free. Child tickets for those aged 3–15 are £15, while adult tickets for those aged 16 and over are £35.
Tickets include entry to the festival, a wristband, access to the live music and festival activities, and access to the food and drink vendors.
Tickets selling fast
Organisers say the event has now reached its Final Release, with fewer than 300 tickets remaining.
Tickets are being sold exclusively through Skiddle, the event’s official ticketing partner. Visitors are advised not to purchase tickets from any other source.
Country on the Castle takes place at Tonbridge Castle on Saturday 12 September 2026, from 2pm until 10pm. Last entry is at 7pm.
