There’s a new reason to swing by Basil Café on Tonbridge High Street this summer — they’ve just installed some lovely new outdoor seating, perfect for soaking up the sun while sipping your favourite drink.
If you’re anything like us, you’ll know there’s something especially joyful about grabbing a table outside. A bit of sunshine, a good coffee, and the gentle hum of the high street — it’s a little slice of Europe right here in Tonbridge. We’ve long wished for more outdoor café culture in town, so it’s brilliant to see one of our favourite local spots leading the way.
Basil is already well-loved for a reason — it’s one of the best independent cafés around. From fabulous cakes (the carrot cake is practically legendary) to fresh frittata, colourful salads, and top-notch coffee, they’ve got the formula just right. Now, with the addition of outdoor tables, there’s even more reason to linger.
Whether you’re in for a Matcha latte, a lazy brunch, or just want to watch the world go by for a moment, Basil’s new outside seating is the place to do it this summer. Here’s hoping it inspires more of the same across Tonbridge!
