“Tonbridge Pride is a totally free day and night of celebration to uplift the LGBTQIA+ community and unify our town as a whole.

Tonbridge Pride Organisers

Get ready for one huge community celebration — Tonbridge Pride is returning to town on Saturday 9th August 2025 for the fourth year, and it’s shaping up to be even bigger and even better than last year.

The event is open to everyone, with more family focused events by day and a chance for the grown ups to party until late.

As the Tonbridge Pride team so eloquently put it:

“Absolutely everyone is welcome no matter who you are or who you love.”

Here’s everything you need to know.

Where’s it all happening?

The heart of the action will be at Tonbridge Castle Grounds turning the historic setting into a vibrant festival space. There will be stalls along River Walk too. But first, there will be a mega march through town – kicking off at 12:00.

  • When: Saturday 9th August 2025
  • Where: Tonbridge Castle Grounds & River Walk
  • Time: 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM (with an official after party at The Market House – yes please!)
  • Cost: 100% free — no tickets required (thanks to the extraordinary work of the organisers!)

What’s happening?

Aside from the march along the High Street, the main event is to be held at the Castle. Here you can expect lots of fun and frivolity. With stalls(like Larry’s mobile bar and Bubbly Books) live music and more.

There are loads of free activities that have been provided for the community too. With a conscious effort by the organisers to offer something for everyone. For example, a sign language session with the Vision Signing Choir – anyone keen to learn something new can join a masterclass with them too!

And, there’s some fantastic art aspects on the day too. Local artist Sophie Fuller, who last year created a live mural of the day, is back with something even more spectacular.

You can expect a day full of talent from across Tonbridge and beyond.

Exact entertainment is still to be announced, but last year’s line up was a bit of banger. So if it’s anything like that, we are in for a good time.

Anything else?

So much more! Throughout the day you’ll find:

  • Independent stalls
  • Fantastic food trucks and bars
  • Wellness sessions and sensory sessions
  • Outreach, support and conversation with a team of trained wellness coaches and counsellors
  • An official after party to be held at The Market House (just a stroll from the castle) once the music stops at 11:00.

Want to get involved?

There may still time to apply to run a stall or perform, or to sponsor the event — just head to tonbridgepride.com for details.

Why you can’t miss it

Speaking about the 2025 Tonbridge Pride event, the organisers had this to say:

“We are passionate about keeping this day free for all to attend because we dont believe anyone should have to pay to celebrate who they are.

This is a chance to spread love, education and understanding throughout Tonbridge, and bring us all together for a day of joy. “

What I think is so amazing, is that the event is organised by a small team of volunteers who spend months preparing for this day. It’s a not for profit event and totally free to attend!

So, that’s why you can’t miss it! Let’s thank the team for their team and energy and turn out in force. See you there.
