Are you looking for a creative outlet, a chance to learn new skills, or simply a friendly space to pursue your artistic hobbies? Look no further than Art Cafe, a welcoming community initiative operating every Tuesday at Hope Church Tonbridge.
Art Cafe offers a wonderfully relaxing and friendly environment where you can bring along your preferred hobby – be it drawing, painting, knitting, sewing, or any other creative pursuit. It’s the perfect place to chat, enjoy a cup of coffee, and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting, all are welcome to join this vibrant group.
The sessions run every Tuesday morning from 10:45 AM to 12:30 PM, with a repeat session in the afternoon between 1:15 PM and 3:00 PM. Best of all, Art Cafe is completely free to attend, making it accessible to everyone in the community.
The program is flexible and engaging: once a fortnight, a short art demonstration is offered, providing new ideas and techniques, followed by supportive guidance. On alternate weeks, it’s a “do your own thing” session, ideal for gathering ideas and inspiration while receiving help and encouragement as needed. Some materials, including watercolour paints, acrylics, brushes, and paper, are freely available for use.
