This August, The Humphrey Bean in Tonbridge is raising a glass to the local brewing scene by celebrating all things real ale. As part of Wetherspoons’ ongoing support for independent breweries, the pub will be featuring at least one real ale from microbreweries local to the area — and yes, that means fresh pints brewed just a few miles down the road.

Whether you’re a longtime real ale enthusiast or simply curious about what Kent’s smaller breweries have to offer, it’s the perfect excuse to pop in, pull up a chair, and try something a little different.

The ales on offer will rotate throughout the month, so each visit may bring something new to the handpull. And if you don’t immediately spot a local option at the bar, don’t hesitate to ask the staff — they’ll be more than happy to let you know what’s pouring behind the scenes.

The variety of flavours coming out of Kent’s microbreweries deserves celebration — and what better place than Tonbridge’s famous riverside watering hole.

So this August, skip the generic pints and go local. Your tastebuds (and your local brewers) will thank you.
