The Tonbridge Lions Club has stepped up its commitment to local safety by presenting a new defibrillator to Corpus Christi Church in Lyons Crescent, Tonbridge.

The life-saving device has been strategically installed outside the Fisher Hall, ensuring it is readily accessible to both church members and the wider Tonbridge community in case of a cardiac emergency.

Official Handover

The official handover saw Lions President Phil Jesson present the defibrillator to Father Philip de Freitas, the Parish Priest, and Maura Branch, a member of the congregation.

Ms. Branch expressed the church’s gratitude, stating, “We want to convey our sincere thanks to the Lions for their very generous contribution to our defibrillator, for use by parishioners and the general public in the area. We appreciate all the work that is done by the Lions for Tonbridge and the local district.”

This donation is part of the Tonbridge Lions’ ongoing Community Programme and highlights their dedication to supporting local organisations and providing essential resources that bolster community safety and wellbeing.
