Residents who use Hopgarden Road should prepare for a temporary disruption next month, as Kent County Council has scheduled an urgent one-day road closure for essential carriageway repairs.
The closure will take effect on Monday, November 17, 2025, and is planned to last for a maximum of one day.
Details of the Closure
The affected section of Hopgarden Road will be closed to all traffic between Salisbury Road and property number 72.
To minimise inconvenience, the works are scheduled to take place during standard working hours, running from 08:00 hrs until 16:00 hrs.
A Kent County Council spokesperson confirmed the necessity of the works, stating the closure is required “to enable urgent carriageway repairs to be carried out.”
Alternative Route for Motorists
Motorists needing to navigate the area on November 17th will be directed along a signed diversion route.
The official alternative route is advised as: Salisbury Road, Norwich Avenue, York Road, Hopgarden Road, and vice versa.
Please plan your journeys accordingly to avoid delays.
