It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas — and at the Humphrey Bean in Tonbridge, they’re already ready. The tree is up, the lights are twinkling, and the smell of turkey, pigs in blankets and mulled mischief is in the air.
The Wetherspoon’s local has launched its Christmas menu, running from 12th November right through to the end of the year (just not on Christmas Day itself). And honestly — for value and festive spirit, it’s hard to beat.
Let’s start with the drinks, because, well… priorities. The standout has to be the Chocolate Orange Martini at just £4.99 — I cannot wait to try this. There’s also a Kir Royal and other festive cocktails to keep spirits (and you) bright.

If you’re more of a pint person, Humphrey Bean is pulling out all the stops with its “12 Ales of Christmas”, all a frankly ridiculous £2.89 a pint. Mad value, even for Spoons standards.
The food lineup hits all the comfort notes — think pigs in blankets, festive sharer plates, and a giant profiterole that’s probably not technically necessary, but completely irresistible. There’s even a small kids’ menu so everyone can join in the cheer.
For the main event, festive meals range from £12.46 to £15.52, including an alcoholic drink. Options include the classic roast turkey dinner, an extra special cheeseburger, and — for the adventurous — a chicken, stuffing, bacon and brie pizza. Sure, it might clock in at 1,388 calories, but who’s counting in December?

No, the Humphrey Bean may not be the most glamorous pub in town, but when it comes to Christmas cheer (and value for money), it’s top of the nice list.
