The Tonbridge Lions Club has received prestigious recognition for its exceptional dedication to the local area, being named an Outstanding Community Group by Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council.

The award celebrates the Club’s long history of service and its tireless volunteer work supporting individuals, families, and organisations across Tonbridge.

Recognising Exceptional Dedication

The honour was presented at a ceremony held at the Council offices in Kings Hill on 19th November. During the presentation, Cllr Des Keers delivered a compelling citation praising the group’s impact:

“This is an award for exceptional dedication and long-standing service to the community, recognising their tireless volunteer work supporting individuals, families, and local organisations. Through fundraising, welfare initiatives, and inclusive community events, they bring people together, provide vital help in times of need, and make Tonbridge a better, kinder place for all.”

Lions Committed to Continued Service

Lion President Phil Jesson accepted the honour on behalf of the Tonbridge Lions, receiving the award from the Mayor, Cllr Chris Brown. He was joined by fellow Lions Trevor Dalladay and Richard Hill to celebrate the proud occasion.

This recognition highlights the Club’s commitment to providing practical support, raising funds for vital causes, and fostering stronger community connections. The Tonbridge Lions Club remains committed to building on this achievement and continuing its mission of service in the years ahead.
