The long Easter weekend has arrived, and Tonbridge is fully leaning into the four-day break. From football at Longmead to musical “showstoppers” at the school and dragon encounters in castle grounds, there is no shortage of ways to fill the Bank Holiday. Arts & Culture
Oast/Trinity Youth Theatres Double Bill (3rd – 5th April) The talent of the next generation takes center stage at The Oast Theatre this weekend. As part of the NT Connections 2026 festival, local youth companies are performing a contemporary double bill. Expect high energy and sharp storytelling in the intimate Janet Young Studio.

The Great British Bake Off Musical (1st – 4th April) If you haven’t caught it yet, the final performances of this “star baker” musical by LAMPS take place this weekend. It’s a feel-good, hilarious tribute to the nation’s favorite baking show, staged in the impressive EM Forster Theatre.

Sports & Outdoors
Walk Tonbridge, On 2nd April, the Sunset & Pink Moon Walk in Tudeley is timed with the full moon. Ideal for the night before Good Friday.
Tonbridge Angels vs Ebbsfleet United (3rd April) The “Longmead Faithful” will be out in force for a classic Good Friday local clash. The Tonbridge Angels host Ebbsfleet United for a 3 PM kickoff.

Easter Saturday Parkrun (4th April) Don’t let the chocolate eggs slow you down! The Tonbridge Parkrun is go for Easter Saturday. Join hundreds of locals for a 5k loop around the Racecourse Sportsground and Haysden. It’s the perfect way to earn that Sunday roast.

Something a bit different at Tonbridge Swimming Pool on Saturday 5th April. This floating soundbath session, run by Paddle with Ana, combines paddleboarding with guided relaxation and sound therapy.
Family & Easter Fun
The Great Dragon Egg Hunt at Hever Castle (3rd – 6th April) For a magical day out, head to Hever Castle. Their dragon-themed quest runs all weekend, but the Bank Holiday features special “real” dragon encounters at 11:30, 12:30, 14:30, and 15:30. Children can also design their own shields at the craft station.

Easter Bunny’s Bonnet Bonanza at Penshurst Place (3rd – 6th April) Wander through the historic gardens of Penshurst Place to help the Easter Bunny find his lost bonnet decorations. It’s a lovely self-led trail for younger children, surrounded by spring blooms.

TMBC Self-Led Easter Trails (3rd – 6th April) If you want to stay local and active, the Borough Council has launched three free trails across the Castle grounds, Haysden, and the Racecourse. Just download the guide and explore at your own pace.
Silly Billy’s Magic Emporium (April 4): An interactive magic show for one day only, held at the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks. Details and tickets here.

Live Music & Quiz at The Nelson Arms (4th & 6th April) The multi-award-winning Nelson Arms has a busy holiday schedule. On Saturday night, enjoy live music from the Leigh Highwood Duo. If you’re looking for a mental workout, their famous Sunday Quiz has been moved to Easter Monday for this week only.
