The countdown is officially on for one of Tonbridge’s most loved summer traditions – River Walk Music Festival – and excitement is already building across the town.
Returning for its fifth year, the festival will once again bring the riverside to life every Friday evening from 10th July to 4th September 2026, with live music running from 6:00pm to 9:30pm. From jazz to pop and everything in between, it promises another incredible showcase of local talent, great food, and a brilliant community atmosphere.
And if last year was anything to go by, we’re in for something special.
Last year’s event was an absolute triumph – we were there rocking out every Friday and loved seeing everyone letting their hair down. It’s truly become a staple of the Tonbridge summer calendar, and we couldn’t be more excited for its return.
A Festival Powered by Community
What makes River Walk Music so special isn’t just the music – it’s the people behind it.
The festival is volunteer-led and not-for-profit, meaning it relies heavily on the support of local businesses and the wider community to keep it going. Despite reaching out to over 200 local businesses, organisers say that so far, only one sponsor has come forward.
That’s why they’re now making a heartfelt appeal:

Fundraising Event This April
To help support both the festival and a fantastic local cause, a special fundraising event is taking place this weekend.
River Walk Music Festival is teaming up with Babons Cancer Support, with the support of Currys Tunbridge Wells, for a day packed full of fun and fundraising:

⏰ 9:00am – 5:00pm
📍 Currys, Tunbridge Wells (North Farm)
Expect:
- ✨ A tech raffle
- 🎮 Gaming simulators
- 🎶 Live music
- 🎧 DJs taking requests
- …and plenty more
Even better, 100% of proceeds will go directly to supporting local causes and making a real difference in the community.
Organisers are also calling on:
- Businesses or individuals who can donate raffle prizes
- Local artists willing to perform on the day
