The Tonbridge Lions Club has officially released its schedule for 2026, featuring a diverse range of athletic challenges, health initiatives, and community celebrations. From high-energy races to vital wellbeing clinics, the upcoming year promises numerous opportunities for residents to engage with local charitable efforts.

Monday 4th May: Tonbridge Lions Triathlon

The season kicks off with the Tonbridge Lions Triathlon. Starting at 7 am at the Tonbridge School Sports Centre, this event is sanctioned by British Triathlon and welcomes both novices and experienced athletes over the age of 17. Participants will navigate a course through the school grounds and the scenic public roads of Ightham and Seal.

Saturday 16th May: PSA Screening

The focus shifts to preventative health in mid-May. The PSA Screening event will be held at the Angel Centre from 10 am. Friday 19th June: “It’s a Knockout” (Closed Event)

Every June, the club hosts a day of competitive games and laughter for approximately 100 mentally and physically disabled individuals from local care establishments. The Mayor is invited to attend and present prizes for team winners and the best ‘joker’ banner.

Saturday 4th July: Lions Day (Closed Event)

This event provides a special day out to an exciting venue for dozens of young people from the Tonbridge area. Whether it is a break for children with disabilities, a change of pace for young carers, or a treat for the children of refugees, fun is guaranteed.

Saturday 18th July: Musical Memories Summer Concert

The community is invited to the Musical Memories Summer Concert at 3 pm. Held at the Tonbridge Methodist Church, this sing-along choir event is specifically designed for older residents and those with memory issues, though all are welcome to attend.

Sunday 19th July: Classic Car and Sports Car Tour

Automotive enthusiasts can look forward to a 95-mile journey through the Kent and Sussex countryside. Sunday 26th July: Community Fête and Parade
