A Rare Opportunity to Explore Historic Grounds

Tonbridge School is opening its gates to the public for a special Open Gardens event this summer. On Sunday 21st June 2026, visitors will have the chance to wander through the beautifully maintained school grounds between 10:00am and 3:00pm. This event offers a unique glimpse into the horticultural heritage and meticulous landscaping of one of the town’s most iconic institutions.

Guided Tours and Expert Insight

For those looking to deepen their appreciation of the flora and design, the school is offering exclusive guided tours led by the Head Gardener. These tours are scheduled for 11:00am and 1:00pm, providing expert commentary on the seasonal blooms and the history of the gardens.

Due to the popular nature of these walks, pre-booking is essential. Interested parties should contact the events team via email at events@tonbridge-school.org to secure a place.

Tickets and Refreshments

Admission for the guided experience is priced at £15 per person. This ticket price is inclusive of both the professional tour and a traditional cream tea, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere of the school grounds.

Whether you are a keen horticulturalist or simply looking for a tranquil Sunday outing, the Tonbridge School Open Gardens promises a delightful afternoon of nature and community spirit.
