Local residents and heritage enthusiasts should take note of an upcoming date in the town calendar. The Tonbridge Civic Society has announced that its Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday, 26 May, introducing a fresh format for this year’s proceedings.
A Night of Formal Business and Local Recognition
In a first for the organisation, the society is combining its annual business meeting with the presentation of its Design Awards. The evening is set to begin at 7:30 pm with the formal AGM, where the society’s recent activities and future plans for the town will be addressed.
Once the official business concludes, the focus will shift at approximately 8:00 pm to the Design Awards. This segment of the evening highlights recent architectural and environmental projects that have made a positive impact on the aesthetic and functional landscape of Tonbridge.
Event Details
The meeting is scheduled to be held in the Riverside Room at the Angel Centre. While the society plays a significant role in local advocacy and conservation that affects the wider community, officials have clarified that this particular event is open to members only.
