1/ Parkrun (Every Saturday: 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th July 2026)

The weekly 5k at the Tonbridge Racecourse Sportsground is a core part of the local routine, kicking off every Saturday morning at 9:00 AM. July gives us four chances to run, jog, or walk around the park in this completely free event open to all abilities—just don’t forget to bring your barcode.
2/ Tonbridge Music Weekend (Friday 3rd July – Sunday 5th July 2026)

The ultimate summer music party returns to the Tonbridge Castle Bailey Lawn for the first weekend of July. Friday features The Greatest Hits of Motown supported by local ska legends The Skatonics, Saturday brings a Country Superstars tribute alongside party mashups from Madhen, and Sunday finishes strong with high-energy performance from Peat & Diesel.

3/ Comedy Nights at The Market House (Saturday 4th and 25th July 2026)

Kick off the month with big laughs right in the centre of town at The Market House. Local comic Jade Gebbie (British Comedy Guide Performance Award finalist 2025 and writer for The News Quiz, Nature Table) will be performing on 25th July, whilst CK Nath will be live on the 4th July. Details here.
4/ The Humphrey Bean Re-Opening (Tuesday 7th July 2026)

Our local Wetherspoons on the High Street is finally swinging its doors back open from 8:00 AM following a major interior refurbishment. Head down bright and early to check out the fresh new look, upgraded facilities, and classic cheap pints just in time for the height of summer.
5/ School theatre performances at EM Forster Theatre
July sees a number of school performances taking over the EM Forster Theatre. The Tonbridge School leavers concerts kicks things off on the 3rd July, Hill View perform Daisy Pulls it Off on 7th July and a dance performance takes place on 9 to 10th July. 6/ Free Riverwalk Music (Every Friday from 10th July 2026 onwards)

A beloved local summer tradition returns to River Walk by the River Medway, running from 10th July and continuing every single Friday night for the summer. Grab a drink, find a spot by the water, and enjoy these free, relaxed live music showcases featuring excellent local acoustic acts and popular cover bands.
7/ Tonbridge Classic Car Show (Saturday 11th July 2026)
Organized by the Tonbridge Rotary Club, the Tonbridge Castle Grounds will fill with an incredible collection of vintage vehicles from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 8/ Yoga Paddle Boarding Sessions with Epic Life (Sunday 12th & Sunday 26th July 2026)

Test your core balance from 09:30 AM to 11:00 AM with a peaceful, unique yoga class floating directly on the River Medway, launching from the Racecourse Sportsground. Run by local experts Epic Life, these instructor-led stand-up paddleboard (SUP) yoga sessions are incredibly relaxing with a touch of challenge for a Sunday morning. 9/ Epic Life Wednesday Social Paddles (Every Wednesday: 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd 2026)
Epic Life’s mid-week evening social paddles are back on the River Medway on Wednesdays throughout July at 18:30. It’s a fantastic group cruise down the river, but the absolute highlight is Wednesday 15th July, which features their special “Paddle & Cocktail” event finishing up with drinks by the water.
10/ Gentleman Jack at The Oast Theatre (Saturday 18th July – Saturday 25th July 2026)

16/ Outdoor Comedy: Jeeves and Wooster (Thursday 30th July 2026)
The castle’s open-air theatre season continues on the Tonbridge Castle Bailey Lawn at 7:00 PM with a hilariously chaotic production of Jeeves and Wooster in “Stiff Upper Lip, Jeeves”. 17/ Rowing Boat Hire Returns (4 July 2026)
In fantastic news for the town, Tonbridge River Cruises is officially bringing back classic rowing boats for public hire from the Big Bridge on the High Street from the 4th July. You can rent a boat on a whim and spend a leisurely hour paddling past the castle and down the scenic Medway.
18/ Walk Tonbridge Events (12 and 23 July 2026)

22/ Summer band concerts at the Castle (12, 19 and 26 July)

Free summer band concerts can be found on Sunday afternoons in the castle grounds. The events planned are as follows: Sunday 12 July – Sevenoaks and Tonbridge Concert Band, Sunday 19 July – UK Paper Band and Sunday 26 July – East Grinstead Concert Band.
