With all the talk about bins and rubbish collection in the press at the moment. You might be worrying about your bin collections this long weekend.
Good news, Tonbridge! If you were worrying about overflowing Easter egg wrappers or mountains of garden waste this bank holiday weekend — relax.
Bin collections are running exactly as normal over Easter.
✅ Good Friday (18 April 2025)? Normal collections.
✅ Easter Monday (21 April 2025)? Normal collections.
Here’s the breakdown:
- ♻️ Recycling (green-lidded bin and green box) — normal schedule
- 🍎 Food waste — normal schedule
- 🗑️ Refuse (black bin) — normal schedule
- 🌿 Garden waste — normal schedule
You can always keep up to date with current bin collections on the TMBC website. They even have a handy calculator so you can find out the exact date of your next collection.
So there’s no need to cram the car with rubbish or panic about missed collections — just put your bins out like usual and enjoy your Easter bank holiday.
(And maybe finally get around to clearing out that garden while you’re at it?)
