Crucially for existing outlets like Tonbridge, the company also explicitly states that it will be “upgrading existing shops.” This national drive to modernize its portfolio offers a genuine glimmer of hope for a local refurbishment.

Tonbridge’s KFC enjoys unwavering popularity. Its takeaway service is particularly robust, evident by the often-full pull-in laybys along the High Street, packed with drivers briefly stopping to grab their orders. This consistent demand sets it apart in a local fast-food landscape that has proven challenging for others. We’ve seen the former Taco Bell site close after a very short period, and reports suggest Wimpy is also on the brink of closure. Against this backdrop, KFC’s sustained popularity and consistent trade make it a strong candidate for investment and modernization within the chain’s national strategy.

A refreshed KFC in Tonbridge would not only enhance the High Street’s appearance but also reinforce the brand’s commitment to its loyal local customer base.
