Pizza Express has been making headlines with its latest nationwide sensation: Pizza O’Clock — 90 minutes of unlimited pizza and dough balls. Naturally, we had to see what all the fuss was about.

Before you imagine ordering anything from the full menu, it’s worth noting that Pizza O’Clock keeps things streamlined to what Pizza Express considers its five best pizzas: Margherita, American, Padana, La Reine, and Sloppy Giuseppe. Gluten-free bases are available, which keeps the deal inclusive for more diners.

To make the evening even better, we took advantage of the two cocktails for £12 deal, opting for a Margarita and a Dean Street Collins. Both were refreshing choices and paired nicely with the steady flow of pizzas. Sipping drinks while waiting for refills felt especially relaxed thanks to the setting. Tonbridge’s branch has one of the most enviable spots in town, perched by the river with a clear view of the castle. On a warm summer’s evening, it’s hard to beat.

Pizza Express Cocktails Tonbridge

It had been a while since I last visited Pizza Express, but stepping inside reminded me why it’s a staple on the high street. The restaurant still feels just as vibrant and cosy as I remembered — a lively but comfortable setting that works equally well for families, groups of friends, or a casual date night.

It’s also worth noting that Pizza Express recently ran a special version of Pizza O’Clock just for GCSE students. On Thursday 21st August and Friday 22nd August 2025, students who dined in and presented their results letter could enjoy the deal for only £10 each. While that promotion has now passed, it showed a thoughtful gesture to help young diners celebrate their achievements with friends. The Pizza O’Clock deal itself is only running until 29th August, so there’s a limited window to make the most of it.

The standout for those who like something different. Goat’s cheese, caramelised onion, and spinach come together beautifully.

This is the one you shouldn’t miss. Mushrooms, olives, and ham combine into a rich, balanced flavour that had us going back for seconds.

Bold, spiced beef with a kick of heat. A strong contender, just short of top marks.

A Pizza Express classic that never loses its charm. Soft, warm, and served with garlic butter, they carry a real sense of nostalgia and remain just as satisfying as ever.

Final Thoughts

Pizza O’Clock by Pizza Express Tonbridge delivers the full package: generous portions, great service, and a riverside location that sets the perfect backdrop. The unlimited pizza deal is more than just a gimmick — it’s genuinely good value and a fun way to try a range of their classics. The staff were warm, welcoming, and kept everything running smoothly, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. Go with friends, order the cocktails, and don’t leave without trying the La Reine (and, of course, those iconic dough balls).
