Venues: What Makes Them Special

Chapel of St Augustine, Tonbridge School

This serene and atmospheric chapel serves as the principal venue for most of the season’s concerts. Its classic architecture and intimate acoustics provide an ideal setting for both rousing orchestral works and contemplative choral music. From Vaughan Williams’s sweeping A Sea Symphony to Haydn’s uplifting Nelson Mass, the chapel enhances each performance with its distinctive character. The Chapel can be found here on Google Maps.

Tonbridge Parish Church

On 23 May, the Society moves to the majestic Tonbridge Parish Church—a place resonant with history and with acoustical warmth, perfect for an emotional delivery of Brahms’s Violin Concerto. Tonbridge Parish Church can be found here on Google Maps.
