A familiar sight on the Tonbridge High Street has undergone a temporary change as Costa Coffee has officially shuttered its doors to undergo a much-needed makeover. Notices posted on the shopfront confirm that the branch closed its doors at 3:00 pm on 29 January and is scheduled to welcome customers back at 7:00 am on 6 February.
A New Look for a Local Staple
For many regular visitors, the news of a renovation will be a welcome development. While the Costa branch has remained a popular meeting spot, its interior has begun to show signs of its age. The “tired” aesthetic often noted by patrons in recent years is set to be replaced by a more modern design, bringing the branch in line with the brand’s latest national styling.
Whether this investment is a strategy to attract a future buyer or a commitment to remain a long-term fixture of the Tonbridge High Street, the immediate benefit for the community will be a fresh, updated space to enjoy a flat white or a toastie.
