Golf Balls and Breakfast at Tonbridge Driving Range
This may well be the best-value morning in Tonbridge right now.
For just £8.50, the Tonbridge Driving Range is offering a breakfast sandwich (bacon, sausage or egg), a hot drink, and 60 golf balls from Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 11:30 (excluding bank holidays).
Even if your golf swing resembles someone fighting off a wasp, it’s still an excellent way to spend a weekday morning. Coffee, breakfast, fresh air and an excuse to whack golf balls into the distance? Hard to argue with that.
In the context of what breakfast and coffee costs almost everywhere else these days, it feels like a proper steal.
Verdigris Steak & Wine Tuesdays
Few things beat a proper steak night, and Verdigris continues to quietly deliver one of the better midweek treats in town.
Their steak and wine Tuesday deal is something you need to know about if you are looking for a proper bit of indulgence. You can get 1kg (yes you read that right) if bone in rib eye with a choice of chips and sauce, along with a robust bottle of Malbec – all for £75.
We are yet to try this one, but knowing Verdigris, I expect the quality will be excellent.

PizzaExpress Bottomless Bubbles
We may be slightly late to the party on this one, but better late than never.
Throughout May, PizzaExpress has been running 90 minutes of bottomless bubbles for £20 every weekend and bank holiday. And if prosecco isn’t your thing, you can swap it for bottomless Peroni instead.
It’s exactly the sort of offer designed for long lunches that accidentally become early evenings. Whether you’re celebrating something or simply pretending you are, it’s hard not to see the appeal.

£10 Burgers at The Holy Goat
Sunday burgers for a tenner? Yes please.
The Holy Goat has been serving up £10 burgers on Sundays, and by all accounts they’ve become seriously popular. We went for the Dutchmen – gloriously messy and oozing with cheese – and it absolutely lived up to expectations.
These are not basic burgers thrown together to satisfy an offer board. They’re stacked with all sorts of excellent accoutrements and feel far more expensive than they are.
One warning though: get there early. We’ve heard they sold out last weekend.
Never Say Never: Two Pizzas for £20
The Never Say Never pub is currently offering two pizzas for £20 from Monday to Friday between 3pm and 6pm, plus Sundays from 6pm onwards.
The menu covers everything from the classics – including a very respectable Quattro Stagioni – through to more adventurous combinations involving spicy chicken and nduja. There are veggie options too, which is always appreciated in a mixed group.
It’s the kind of deal that works equally well for a casual midweek dinner, post-work catch-up or a Sunday evening when nobody can quite face cooking.
