November is nearly here, and if you’re making plans for fireworks night, there are several events worth putting on your calendar across Tonbridge and the surrounding villages.
The good news for local families is that you don’t necessarily need to head into a big town or travel across Kent for an evening out. From Tonbridge’s annual charity display to a school fundraiser in Shipbourne and a free event in Snodland, there are options for different budgets and age groups.
We’ve rounded up the displays with published 2026 details, starting close to home. We’ll add more as organisers release their plans.
Tonbridge’s annual fireworks display

The main event for local fireworks fans is back at Tonbridge Park on Sunday 1 November. Organised by Tonbridge Round Table, the annual display is taking a Halloween-inspired direction for 2026, with a specially choreographed show from Phoenix Fireworks.
The Racecourse Sportsground opens to visitors at 5pm, with the fireworks scheduled for 6.30pm. That gives you time to arrive, find a spot and make the most of the food, drinks and other entertainment before the sky lights up.
It’s also an event with a community purpose: money raised helps fund local charities and good causes. If you’re planning to go, booking ahead is a sensible move, particularly if you’re visiting with children.
When: Sunday 1 November 2026, gates at 5pm and fireworks at 6.30pm
Where: Racecourse Sportsground, Tonbridge Park
Tickets: From £7 for children aged 5–15 and £11 for adults aged 16 and over at the advertised advance rate; under-fives go free. Check the booking page for current prices.
Shipbourne School’s fireworks and bonfire party
A few miles outside Tonbridge, Shipbourne Primary School’s PTA is bringing its annual fireworks event back on Saturday 7 November.
This one is particularly suited to families who want to support a local school while enjoying an evening out. The programme includes a bonfire and fireworks, a DJ tent, face painting and stalls. I visited last year with some friends and littles and we had a great time in the DJ tent.
Food and drink will be available, with burgers, hot dogs, homemade cakes and mulled wine among the advertised options. Vegan and gluten-free food will also be available.
The event runs from 4.15pm until 6pm, so it’s worth checking the organiser’s information carefully for the fireworks timing before setting off.
Tickets are £7 per person, or £25 for a family of four. Children under two can attend free, and the event is open to everyone, not just school families.
When: Saturday 7 November 2026, 4.15pm–6pm
Where: Shipbourne Primary School’s event field, opposite the school

Fireworks night at Nizels, Hildenborough

For anyone living around Hildenborough, Nizels has a fireworks event on Friday 6 November. Its programme begins well before the display, which makes this a useful option if you’re taking children who need something to do while waiting for the main event.
Gates open at 5.30pm, followed by a children’s disco at 6pm. The evening’s other attractions include live entertainment, stilt walkers and face painting, alongside food and drink stalls. The fireworks are due to begin at 7.30pm.
One practical point to remember: parking must be booked in advance. The venue says parking tickets won’t be sold on the night, so make sure you’ve sorted that out alongside your event tickets.
When: Friday 6 November 2026, gates at 5.30pm and fireworks at 7.30pm
Where: Nizels, Nizels Lane, Hildenborough
Snodland’s free fireworks display
If you’re keeping an eye on the cost of family outings, Snodland’s town fireworks could be worth the short trip from Tonbridge.
The town council has scheduled its annual display for Wednesday 4 November 2026 at Potyns Sportsground. The fireworks start at 7.30pm, and the event is free to attend. A local funfair is also expected to provide rides and refreshments.
Although there is no admission charge, donations are welcomed to help support the event. Visitors should also look out for the council’s travel updates, as road closures are planned.
When: Wednesday 4 November 2026, fireworks at 7.30pm
Where: Potyns Sportsground, Snodland
Tickets: Free entry; donations welcome

Godstone Farm Mini Fireworks Festival
For an earlier half-term fireworks outing, Godstone Farm’s Mini Fireworks Festival takes place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October. It’s a handy option for families who’d prefer a lower-noise display, with the farm’s low-bang fireworks designed to bring the excitement without quite the same volume as a traditional show.
There’s plenty happening before the fireworks, too. Expect fire performers, jugglers, stilt walkers and illuminated LED butterfly performers, alongside lasers and food stalls serving festival favourites, from burgers and hot dogs to churros and sweet treats.
Entry to the festival starts at 4.30pm, and you can upgrade your booking to include daytime farm admission for an additional £10, giving you the chance to enjoy the farm’s Halloween activities as well. Tickets must be booked in advance, so check availability before setting off.
When: Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026
Where: Godstone Farm, Tilburstow Hill Road, Godstone, Surrey RH9 8LX
Tickets: Advance booking required; check the website for current prices.

Dunorlan Park fireworks in Tunbridge Wells
Dunorlan Park is another option for your November plans. The annual fireworks event is scheduled for Saturday 7 November, with the gates opening at 5.30pm and the main display at 7pm.
The park’s lake and landscaped grounds make this a distinctive setting for an evening display. Food and drink vendors are also expected, so there’s an opportunity to make an evening of the visit rather than arriving just before the fireworks begin.
It’s worth planning your journey in advance, as popular events can mean busy roads and limited parking nearby.
When: Saturday 7 November 2026, gates at 5.30pm and fireworks at 7pm
Where: Dunorlan Park, Tunbridge Wells

Leeds Castle Fireworks Spectacular

For a bigger day out, Leeds Castle is staging its annual fireworks spectacular on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November.
The 2026 theme is TIME, with a show combining fireworks, music, lasers and projections around the castle. The event also offers entertainment, food and attractions in the grounds before the main display, so there’s more to explore than the fireworks alone.
It’s a longer journey from Tonbridge than the local options, but could suit anyone looking to turn their November outing into a full afternoon and evening.
Check the organiser’s website for the latest programme, admission arrangements and ticket availability before travelling.
When: Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026
Where: Leeds Castle, near Maidstone
Fireworks over Tonbridge Castle at the Christmas Festival
Fireworks aren’t just for the first week of November. Tonbridge’s festive calendar traditionally includes a display over the castle as part of the Rotary Tonbridge Christmas Festival.
The festival brings a street market and entertainment to the High Street, along with seasonal attractions for families. The fireworks provide a finale to the celebrations, making it another date to watch if you prefer to save a little festive magic for the end of the month.
The Rotary club says the festival takes place on the last Sunday in November each year, which falls on Sunday 29 November in 2026. Check the organiser’s announcement for confirmation of the full programme and fireworks timing before making plans.
When: Sunday 29 November 2026 — confirm the 2026 programme
