Food lovers can mark their calendars as the much-loved Tonbridge Food & Drink Festival returns this spring. Organisers have confirmed the dates for its May edition as Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May 2026, running from 11:00am to 6:00pm each day.
Taking place in our beautiful castle grounds beside the River Medway, the festival promises another memorable weekend celebrating the very best in local and international food and drink. Held annually on the last weekend of May and the first weekend of September, the event has become a firm favourite in the town’s calendar and continues to grow in popularity.
Now in its eighth year, the festival is organised by the team behind the award-winning Tonbridge Farmers Market and is expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors across the two-day celebration. With over 60 stallholders, visitors can look forward to sampling and purchasing a wide variety of produce, from artisan cheeses and freshly baked bread to indulgent cakes, fudge, chocolate brownies and locally roasted coffee. Alongside Kent favourites, there will also be flavours from across the globe.

The event offers more than just food. A full programme of live cooking demonstrations will showcase talented local chefs, food producers and writers, providing inspiration and entertainment for visitors of all ages.
Adults can also explore a wide range of beverages, including more than 30 local brews, ciders and other drinks sourced from across the Weald of Kent and beyond.
The September edition of the festival will once again take place at the Racecourse and will feature the popular Tonbridge Dragon Boat Races on the Sunday. For now, the focus is on the May event as it kicks off the summer season in style.
At The Tonbridge Bean, it is always one of our favourite events for food in Tonbridge and a great way to welcome the warmer months. Last year, we loved sampling wines from local vineyards, enjoying a few pints of refreshing local cider, and finishing with a couple of excellent burgers. We cannot wait to see what is in store this year.

A fun-packed, flavour-filled weekend awaits. Do not miss it.
