River Walk Music Festival – The Final Outing with Loose Change (note – this is now cancelled due to weather)
The long weekend kicks off on Friday 28th August with the River Walk Music Festival along the banks of the Medway from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Head down to River Walk for a free, atmospheric evening of local food, drinks, and live tunes. This Friday marks the final outing for River Walk this summer season, with popular local band Loose Change, making it a must-attend event to raise a glass and give the festival a fitting send-off. The Market House Second Birthday Party (all weekend)
The Market House on the High Street is throwing a massive weekend-long bash to celebrate two full years of top drinks and live entertainment, offering free entry all weekend long. The party starts on Friday night with a live set from local band Jetty, continues on Saturday with live DJs keeping the energy high late into the night, and finishes on Sunday with classic rock band covers from Great Grannie’s Rock. Kick off Saturday 29th August at 9:00 AM with the ultimate Tonbridge morning staple at the Racecourse Sportsground. Join hundreds of friendly runners, joggers, and walkers for a free, timed 5km loop around the park and the lake – just be sure to register online beforehand and bring your barcode along.
Distance Drawn Exhibition by Julia Corfe
Running daily from Saturday 29th through Monday 31st August between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, The Tunnel Gallery—tucked behind The Chapel next to the EM Forster Theatre—hosts Distance Drawn. This intimate exhibition showcases a captivating selection of paintings, prints, and drawings by artist Julia Corfe, with free admission and original artworks available for purchase.
